Children and Hospitals Week
April 2 to 6, 2012
Kosair Children’s Hospital, 231 E. Chestnut St., Louisville, Ky.
Louisville-area kindergarten students take a field trip to the hospital to participate in health and safety activities, hosted by the Children’s Hospital Foundation Office of Child Advocacy of Kosair Children’s Hospital. Registration occurs through schools.

Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon and miniMarathon
April 28, 2012
Run or walk with the “Just for Kids” team. Runners raise awareness and money for Kosair Children’s Hospital by obtaining pledges. When you join the team, you’ll also have access to a training program and group runs.

Children’s Hospital Foundation Golf Outing
April 30, 2012
Flights at Lake Forest Country Club, 14700 Landmark Drive, Louisville, Ky. And Persimmon Ridge Country Club, 72 Persimmon Ridge Drive, Louisville, Ky.
Opportunities: Teams available for $5,000 and additional sponsorships offered; silent auction items and volunteers needed

Kosair Children’s Hospital Home and BMW Raffle
April 30 through Nov. 17, 2012
Raffle to win a new home in Norton Commons or a new Sam Swope BMW. Only 8,000 tickets will be sold for $100 each with the drawing to be held at the Snow Ball on Nov. 17.
Opportunities: Sponsorships, in-kind donations for home construction, volunteer ticket sales. Tickets available.

Marriott Oaks Bourbon Brunch
May 4, 2012

Rockin’ for Kids
Spring 2012
Local teen bands from the Louisville School of Rock will perform a concert to benefit the music therapy program at Kosair Children’s Hospital. The event also will feature activities, inflatables, Guitar Hero, face painting and a silent auction.

Wings for Kids

An air show and family event hosted by the River City Radio Controllers.

Kickballin' for Kids Kickball Tournament

Great Lawn at Waterfont Park, 11 a.m. until tournament play ends
The National Kickball Association is teaming up with the Children's Hospital Foundation for the first annual Kickballin' for Kids Kickball Tournament. Come out and support the community while having fun with your friends!

Bourbon & Bowties
June 14, 2012
Corbett’s: an American place, 5050 Norton Healthcare Blvd., Louisville, Ky.
Enjoy an evening of gourmet hors d’oeuvres from Louisville’s top chefs, music and live and silent auctions to benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Hospital Foundation. Includes special “Back of the House Tours” with the opportunity to mingle with the chefs and enjoy reserve wine and specially prepared hors d’oeuvres. Tickets on sale May 10.

Carnival of Life: A Childhood Cancer Awareness/ Survivor Event
September 2012
All current and former pediatric cancer patients are invited to celebrate life with their families, friends and former caregivers.

Bike to Beat Cancer
Sept. 22, 2012
A bike ride of 35, 65 or 100 miles through the beautiful bluegrass of Kentucky for cycling enthusiasts of all abilities. Fully equipped rest stops and lunch are provided to all participants as well as a congratulatory meal at the finish line. Riders who meet the fundraising requirement receive a professional event jersey, training support and an experience they will never forget.

Concours d’Elegance 
Oct. 5 to 7, 2012 
The Louisville Concours d’Elegance is a showcase of some of the rarest, most elegant and historic collector cars in the country. Well-known names in the car collector community travel to Louisville each year to have their cars judged by some of the best judges in the world in hopes of taking home the coveted “Best in Show” crystal trophy.

American Girl Fashion Show®
Oct. 13 and 14, 2012
The show features historical and contemporary fashions for girls and their dolls. Historical styles resemble what the popular American Girl characters wear.

Festival of Trees & Lights
Nov. 9 to 11, 2012
Louisville Slugger Field, 401 E. Main St., Louisville, Ky.
Hundreds of beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and greenery for sale; children’s activities; scout day; heritage venues; Gift Shop; Sweet Shop; and more. Tickets for the Kosair Children’s Hospital home and car raffle will be available during the event.

“Just for Kids” Radiothon
Nov. 15 and 16, 2012
Broadcast from the lobby of Kosair Children’s Hospital. Fundraising event for 26 hours on all Main Line Broadcasting stations: 99.7 WDJX, B96.5 (WGZB), Magic 101.3 (WMJM), 102.3 The Max (WXMA) and 105.1 FM Talk (WLRS).
Opportunities: Miracle Match and additional sponsorships available; “Just for Kids” Hero program participants and family stories needed

Snow Ball
Nov. 17, 2012
Louisville Marriott Downtown, 280 W. Jefferson St., Louisville, Ky.
Black tie gala and silent auction featuring an elegant dinner and dancing amidst a winter wonderland. This event is part of the annual Festival of Trees & Lights.
